SOPHOMORES DOWN SENIORS, DESPITE SHODDY OFFICIATING
It was evident early in the contest that the sophomores had the deeper bench. They took advantage of that with a strong defense that held the seniors to just one score. This was despite many questionable calls by the so-called officiating crew that seemed to be joined at the hip with several of the senior coaches. Someone even told me that they had seen money pass from a coach and the head referee. Against all odds the sophomores moved on to the title game with a 14-8 victory over the seniors.
FAVORED JUNIORS UPSET BY POTENT FROSH OFFENSE
The juniors were the vegas favorites to win the parkway powderpuff this season, but the upstart freshman knocked them off that pedestal. After the freshman showed off their blazing speed on the first score, the juniors were left standing with their jaws dropped to the turf. It wasn't a fluke that the freshman scored, they had a solid offense and an even tougher defense. The juniors, like the seniors in the previous game, were held to just a mere eight points. With a n 18-8 upset of the favored juniors, the freshman quest for a title moved on.
SOPHOMORES CRUSH FRESHMAN, 2015 POWDERPUFF CHAMPIONS
After an appeal by the senior coaches of alleged banned substances by star sophomore athletes was found baseless, it was time for the championship game. With visions of belts around their waists, the freshman could be heard talking trash from across the field. The frosh just opened an ole fashioned can of "whoop *ss". They unleashed a firestorm of hurt as the sophomores scored early and often. At the half, Coach Connor Lyons gave an inspiring pep talk and even danced with the ladies, but it didn't help. The sophomore ladies are now wearing the title belt, for they are the champions of the 2015 parkway powderpuff tourney with a dominating 22-8 victory over the upstart freshmen.
