5.9.19            WEHE GOES THE DISTANCE WITH 13 K'S

               Jack Wehe shut down the New Knoxville rangers, throwing a complete game shutout and leading the Parkway Panthers to an 8-0 victory on Thursday evening. Parkway got on the board in the first inning. An error scored one run for the Panthers, Parkway  put up three runs in the second inning. The Panthers batters contributing to the big inning included Cody Gaham and Nick Riley, both knocking in runs in the inning. A single by Swell in the fifth inning was a rare positive for New Knoxville. Wehe pitched the Panthers to victory. He allowed just two hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out 13 batters and walking zero. Osborne took the loss for New Knoxville. He lasted five innings, allowing six hits and eight runs while striking out two. Colton Kraner went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the hosts in hits on the day. The Panthers move to 12-8 on the season.


5.8.19            THREE HOMER NIGHT FUELS VICTORY

         Noah Riley showed timely hitting on Wednesday, driving in five runs on two hits to lead the Parkway Panthers past St. John's 14-1 on Wednesday. Riley drove in runs on a single in the second and a home run in the third. Parkway opened up the scoring in the first inning, when Nick Riley singled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs. Parkway then scored five runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught by the Panthers was led by Jack Wehe and Riley, who all drove in runs. Breyden Bruns got the win for the Panthers. He went five innings, allowing only one run on three hits and striking out six. Mueller took the loss for St. John's. He went two innings, allowing ten runs on seven hits and striking out one. Parkway  smacked three home runs on the day. Riley went for the long ball in the third inning. Seth Stuckey went yard in the second inning and Dylan Hughes had a long ball in the fourth inning. Parkway racked up ten hits on the day. Riley, Riley, Stuckey, and Wehe all managed multiple hits for the Panthers. Wehe, Stuckey, Riley, and Riley each collected two hits to lead the visitors. Riley also led the panthers with two stolen bases as they ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases on the day. Parkway moves to 8-12 on the season.

5.6.19            RANKED LANCERS STOP PARKWAY

        Both teams were strong on the mound on Monday, but Lincolnview was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over the Parkway Panthers on Monday. Justan Felver started the game for Parkway and he recorded six outs in his five innings pitched. He surrendered zero runs on zero hits over two innings, striking out one and walking zero. A bright spot for the host panthers was a double by Nick Riley in the fourth inning. Carter earned the victory on
the pitcher's mound for Lincolnview. He lasted four innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out seven and walking zero. Overholt and Kemler entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Riley took the loss for Parkway, he lasted two innings, allowing two hits and two runs. Riley led Parkway with one hit in two trips to the plate.


5.2.19                    PANTHERS PICK UP MAC VICTORY

           Parkway wins contest against Minster on Thursday, 4-1. Breyden Bruns pitched the Parkway Panthers to victory. He lasted seven innings, allowing six hits and one run while striking out two. Heitbrink took the loss for Minster. He lasted five and a third innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out three. Corey Walls, Nick Hawk, Bruns, Noah Riley, and Nick Riley each collected one hit to lead the Panthers. Minster collected six hits on the day, Heitbrink and Ketner 
​all managed multiple hits for Minster. Minster was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Olberding had the most chances in the field with six.

4.30.19             MISCUES FUEL PANTHERS LOSS TO JETS

         Parkway had trouble keeping up with Adams Central in an 11-5 loss on Monday. In the first inning, Parkway got their offense started with a bang. Nick Riley went yard on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. The home run was his second of the season. After Parkway plated two runs in the top of the fifth, Adams Central answered with two of their own. The visitors scored again when Breyden Bruns singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Adams Central then answered when Hammand drew a walk, scoring one run and 
Brown grounded out, scoring one run. Adams Central pulled away for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth 
Rinkenberger doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run and Bates doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, Hammand 
​doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and
 Yegler drew a walk, scoring one run. Maldeney was the winning pitcher for Adams Central. He allowed one hit and two runs over one and one-third innings. Bates and Brown entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Justan Felver took the loss for Parkway, he surrendered six runs on eight hits over three and a third innings, striking out two. Gerber started the game for Adams Central. He surrendered three runs on two hits over three innings, striking out two Bruns went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Panthers in hits.

4.23.19              REDSKINS DROP PANTHERS 4-1

         Parkway fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 4-1 loss to St. Henry on Tuesday. St. Henry scored on a single by Lefeld and a triple by Thieman in the first inning. The redskins got things moving in the first inning as they took a 2-0 lead. Parkway answered in the top of the second inning making it a 2-1 game. The redskins plated two more runs in the fourth inning and pushed the score to 4-1. Parkway had their chances in the game, but left bases loaded and stranded many runners in the contest. Lefeld got the win for St. Henry. He went six innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out seven. Lange threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Breyden Bruns took the loss for the panthers. He allowed eight hits and four runs over six innings, striking out two and walking zero. Jack Wehe, Corey Walls, Bruns, and Nick Hawk each collected one hit for the visiting panthers. Siefring went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead St. Henry in hits. Parkway falls to 6-10 on the season.

4.22.19              PANTHERS DOWN RAIDERS IN NINE

        A walk-off error propelled the Parkway Panthers to a decisive and dramatic victory over the Russia raiders, 4-3. The game was tied at three with the Panthers batting in the bottom of the ninth when an error by the raiders pitcher scored one run for Parkway. After a stolen base by Jack Wehe that put him on second base, Nick Riley layed down a bunt that the pitcher then misfired to first base. That was the green light for wehe to head home for to score the winning run. Russia scored three runs in the sixth inning to tie the game at 3-3, but Parkway still managed to pull out the victory in the bottom of the ninth inning. The big inning for Russia came thanks to singles by Sherman and 
Kearns, a
lso a groundout by Francis. Parkway fired up the offense in the second inning, when an error scored one run for the host panthers. In the top of the sixth inning, Russia tied things up at three when
​Kearns singled on the first pitch of the at bat, that scored one run for the raiders. Noah Riley was credited with the victory for Parkway, he allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, while striking out four and walking one. Monnier took the loss for Russia. He surrendered three runs on six hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out one. Justan Felver started the game for Parkway, he surrendered three runs on seven hits over six innings, striking out six and walking one The Panthers collected six hits in the nine innning affair.. Nick Hawk and Corey Walls each belted two hits against the combined Russia pitchers. Parkway  tore up the base paths also, with three players that stole at least two bases. Dylan Hughes led the way with two thefts on the day.

4.18.19              BRUNS SHUTS OUT TIGERS FOR M.A.C. VICTORY

      Breyden Bruns shut down  the Versailles tigers, throwing a complete game shutout and leading the Parkway Panthers to a 2-0 victory on Thursday evening. The pitching was strong on for both squads. Bruns struck out five batters, while Toops had four strikeouts for versailles. A single by Griesdorn in the first inning was a positive for Versailles, but the Parkway defense halted any tiger threat. It was a scoreless affair until the panthers plated two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. That 2-0 lead held up for the victory. Bruns pitched the Panthers to victory in the m.a.c. win. He allowed six hits and zero runs over seven innings, while striking out five. Toops took the loss for Versailles. He went six innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out four. Bruns, Nick Riley, and Dylan Hughes each collected one hit to lead the panther offense .Parkway  was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error in the contest.
 Riley made the most plays on the defensive side with five. Versailles totaled six hits in the game.
​Eversole and Griesdorn each collected multiple hits for Versailles.


4.17.19               STARS TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PANTHER MISCUES

           Parkway out-hit South Adams eight to five, but it wasn't enough in an 8-3 loss on Wednesday. The Panthers fired up the offense in the first inning, with Jack Wehe on base, Nick Riley homered on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs. The starfires tied the game at 2-2 in the third inning. Parkway answered in the top of the fourth inning making it a 3-2 Parkway lead. With a triple and back to back doubles, South Adams pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. A panther error scored one run for South Adams and Shafer doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs. Shafer led South Adams to victory on the hill. He surrendered three runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out four. Besser threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Noah Riley took the loss for Parkway Panthers. He went four innings, allowing five runs on three hits and striking out three. Parkway launched one home run on the day from Nick Riley in the first inning. Parkway  tallied eight hits. Breyden Bruns and Jack Wehe had multiple hits for the Panthers, with two each. South Adams tallied just five hits in the game, but made the most of them. Sprunger and Shafer 
each racked up multiple hits for South Adams. South Adams didn't commit a single error in the field.

4.16.19               CARDS OFFENSE TO MUCH

     Parkway fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 7-1 loss to New Bremen on Tuesday. New Bremen scored on a single by Blickle and a single by Tenkman in the second inning. The Panthers struggled to contain the high-powered offense of New Bremen, giving up seven runs. New Bremen pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Blickle singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs and 
​Tenkman singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Alig earned the victory on the hill for New Bremen. He surrendered one run on three hits over seven innings, striking out six and walking one. Jack Wehe took the loss for Parkway, he surrendered seven runs on eight hits over six innings, striking out four. Nick Hawk, Noah Riley, and Dylan Hughes each collected one hit to lead Parkways efforts. New Bremen tallied eight hits. Mitchell, Bertke, and Tenkman each collected multiple hits for New Bremen. The panthers fall to 4-8 on the season and winless in the M.A.C..


4.15.19                PANTHERS SKID STOPS AT 6 

  Parkway coasted to an easy victory over Wapakoneta 8-1 on Monday at Don Black Feild. The Panthers  opened up the scoring in the first inning, when Dylan Hughes's sac fly scored one run for the home team. They would plate two runs in the inning for the 2-0 lead.Parkway added two more runs in the third inning and put up three runs in the fourth inning. The panthers big bats in the game were from Jack Wehe who
went 3 for 4 and Nick Riley was 2 for 4 from the plate today. Felver went the distance and got the victory for the panthers. He went seven innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out six. Gouley took the loss for the visiting redskins. He allowed two hits and two runs over two innings. It was a much needed win for the panthers as they got back in the win column with a complete team effort.

4.12.19                PARKWAY COMEBACK FALLS SHORT

     It was a 2-2 tie late in the game, but the panthers took the loss in  a 5-3 defeat to Marion Local on Thursday.With Marion Local batting in the top of the sixth when Matt Moeller singled on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs. Marion Local opened up scoring in the first inning of the contest. Hays singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. Fleck pitched the flyers to victory. He lasted two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out two. Nick Riley took the loss for the host panthers. He allowed four hits and three runs over one-third of an inning, striking out one. Knapscaefer started the game for Marion Local. He went five innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out seven. Breyden Bruns started the
game for Parkway and he surrendered ​two runs
on nine hits over five innings, while striking out one. Jack Wehe, Nick Hawk, Justan Felver, and Nick Riley each collected one hit to lead the Panthers offense. Parkway was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error in the game. Felver made the most defensive plays in the game with seven. Marion Local scattered 14 hits in the game, to just four for the panthers.

4.9.19.                PANTHERS STILL IN SEARCH OF LEAGUE WIN

     Parkway watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 7-1 loss to Coldwater on Tuesday. Coldwater scored on a single by Wenning and a double by Miller in the first inning for a 2-0 lead. The Panthers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Coldwater, giving up seven runs. Coldwater got on the board in the first inning as Wenning singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Wenning was the winning pitcher for the host cavaliers. He surrendered one run on six hits over six innings, striking out two and walking zero. Hemmelgarn threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Jack Wehe  took the loss for Parkway. He surrendered seven runs on ten hits over six innings, striking out three and walking one. The panthers tallied seven hits in the game. Dylan Hughes, Cory Agler, and Breyden Bruns all managed multiple hits on the day. Bruns, Agler, and Hughes each managed two hits to lead the visiting panthers. Weigel led Coldwater with three hits in three at bats. Parkway falls to 3-6 and winless in conference play.


4.8.19.                PANTHERS SKID REACHES FOUR GAMES

      Both teams were strong on the pitcher's mound on Monday, but Antwerp was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over the visiting panthers on Monday. Noah Riley started the game for Parkway  and he recorded 18 outs. Parkway lost despite out-hitting Antwerp nine to three. Antwerp got things started in the second inning. Sproles grounded out, scoring one run. Parkway evened things up at one in the top of the third inning. Dylan Hughes drove in one run when he connected for a double. Antwerp pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning. In the fourth an error by the Panthers enabled one run to score for the archers. Schuette led the Antwerp to victory on the hill. He lasted five innings, allowing six hits and one run while striking out one and walking zero. Savina threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.  Savina 
​then recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Antwerp. Riley took the loss for the Panthers . He allowed three hits and two runs over six innings and had three strike outs. Parkway  racked up nine hits on the day. Hughes and Riley racked up multiple hits for the visitors, each collecting two hits to lead the panther effort.. Krouse led Antwerp with two hits in two at bats.

      Parkway Panthers Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 5-2 loss to Shawnee on Saturday. Shawnee scored on a double by Hutching in the first inning and a home run by 
Vermillion in the second inning. Shawnee got things moving in the first inning, when Hutching doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Maxwell led things off on the mound for Shawnee. He surrendered two runs on five hits over seven innings, striking out four and walking zero. Breyden Bruns was on the mound for Parkway Panthers Varsity. He surrendered five runs on six hits over six innings, striking out two and walking zero. Nick Riley led
 Parkway  with two hits in three at bats. Vermillion 
went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Shawnee in hits.
   ​    Parkway battled and stayed in it until the end, but the Indians pulled away late with a 9-5 victory on Saturday. With one out in the bottom of the sixth 
Brown doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs. It was in the first inning, Shawnee got their offense started when an error scored one run for the Indians. In the top of the fifth inning, Parkway tied things up at six when Dylan Hughes grounded out, scoring two runs. Parkway then added another four runs in the fifth inning. The Panthers big bats in the inning were led by a groundout by Hughes and an error on a ball put in play by Noah Riley. Shawnee scored four runs in the third inning. Caden Vermillion, L Cowan, and Joey Azzarello all contributed in the big inning with RBIs. Tristan Dawson toed the rubber for Shawnee. He went four and a third innings, allowing five runs on seven hits and striking out one. Justan Felver was on the mound for Panthers. He lasted three innings and allowed six hits and six runs. Cory Agler threw three innings out of the bullpen in game two. Felver went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Parkway in hits. Shawnee racked up ten hits in the game.

4.4.19                BIG FIFTH INNING DOOMS PARKWAY

            Parkway fought back after falling down by five runs in the sixth inning. The comeback fell just short though, in an 8-6 defeat to Fort Recovery on Thursday evening at Don Black field.  The Panthers  scored three runs in the failed comeback in the sixth, a walk by Dylan Hughes in the inning and a single by Corey Walls in the seventh. Parkway was right in it until Fort Recovery walked in the fifth inning. The Panthers  captured the lead in the second inning when Walls singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. After Fort Recovery scored two runs in the top of the sixth, Parkway answered with two runs of their own. Fort Recovery scored when Homan doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run and Wendel singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. Parkway then answered when Noah Riley was struck by a pitch, driving in a run and Hughes drew a walk, scoring one run. Wendel pitched Fort Recovery to the M.A.C. victory. He surrendered three runs on four hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out five. Griser threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Jack Wehe took the loss for the Panthers, he allowed eight hits and five runs over four innings, striking out two and walking zero. Shinabery started the game for Fort Recovery. He allowed three hits and two runs over one and one-third innings, striking out one and walking one. The host Panthers  had nine hits in the game. Walls, Wehe, and Nick Riley all managed multiple hits for Parkway. Walls went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Panthers in hits. Fort Recovery totaled 12 hits in the game. Faller, Post, and Homan all collected multiple hits for Fort Recovery. Faller led Fort Recovery with three hits in five at bats.


4.2.19                 PARKWAY TOPS KNIGHTS 3-2

           Parkway took the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning in a 3-2 victory over Crestview on Tuesday. The game was tied at two with the Panthers batting in the bottom of the sixth when Jack Wehe singled on a 0-2 count, scoring the go ahead run. The pitching was strong on both sides. Parkway  pitchers struck out six, while the Crestview pitchers sat down six. Crestview got on the board first in the initial inning of the contest. Crestview scored one run on a stolen base. Justan Felver earned the win for Parkway in the relief effort. He went three innings, allowing zero hits and one run while striking out one and walking one. Small took the loss for Crestview. He went two innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out one. Seth Stuckey started the game on the mound for the host panthers. He lasted four innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out five batters. Painter started the game for Crestview. He lasted four innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out five. Parkway belted seven hits to just two for the visiting knights. Colton Kraner went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Parkway Panthers Varsity in hits.

3.28.19                 PANTHERS GET 2ND VICTORY

  •                      The Parkway Panthers defeated Celina 8-4 thanks to a strong start. Parkway scored on a walk by Seth Stuckey, a single by Colton Kraner, a single by Dylan Hughes, a single by Justan Felver, and a passed ball during Breyden Bruns's at bat, this led to a panther 6-1 lead after just one inning.Parkway earned the victory despite allowing Celina to score three runs in the fourth inning. The offensive firepower by Celina was led by Miller and Gilmore, all driving in runs in the inning. Jack Wehe earned the win for Parkway. He went seven innings on the mound, allowing four runs on four hits, striking out two and walking one. Weimert took the loss for Celina. He surrendered six runs on six hits over two-thirds of an inning, walking one.The host Panthers racked up 11 hits on the day. Hughes, Wehe, and Felver all had multiple hits for Parkway . Felver, Wehe and Hughes each collected two hits to lead Parkway Panthers Varsity. Stein led Celina with two hits in three at bats

3.26.19                 FELVER GOES THE DISTANCE FOR "W"

       The Parkway Panthers  sailed to an easy victory over Spencerville 11-1 on Tuesday afternoon at Spencerville. Parkway fired up the offense in the first inning of the game. Noah Riley singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.Then the visitors offense exploded to put up five runs in the seventh inning. Breyden Bruns, Dylan Hughes, Chaz Neuenschwander, Jack Wehe, and Riley each had RBIs in the big inning. Justan Felver pitched the Panthers to victory with a complete game. He surrendered just one run on five hits over seven innings and struck out four batters in the process. Ringwald took the loss for Spencerville. He went six innings, allowing six runs on nine hits and striking out five. Parkway collected 14 hits on 35 attemts in the game, that translates to a team batting average of .400 for the contest. Riley, Hughes, Bruns, Neuenschwander, Seth Stuckey, and Wehe all managed multiple hits for the Panthers. Noah Riley went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the panthers offensive surge today. This was a nice, solid bounce back win after yesterdays game went awry. With the victory, the panthers even their record at 1-1.


3.25.19                  EIGHT RUN SIXTH DOOMS PARKWAY

           Monday's game against Memorial was a heartbreaker for Parkway  as they lost the lead late in a 15-4 defeat. The game was tied at four with Memorial batting in the top of the sixth when 
Fisher homered on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs. 
The Panthers struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Memorial, giving up 15 runs. St. marys fired up the offense in the second inning, when Trogdlon grounded out, scoring one run. In the bottom of the fifth inning, Parkway tied things up at four when Noah Riley singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs. Spencer pitched Memorial to victory. He went five innings, allowing four runs on six hits, striking out ten and walking one. Kanorr threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Breyden Bruns took the loss for the home team. He surrendered six runs on four hits over five innings, striking out six and walking one. Memorial launched two home runs on the day. Bailey went yard in the third inning. Fisher went deep in the sixth inning. The Parkway Panthers  racked up six hits on the day. Riley and Jack Wehe each had multiple hits for the Panthers. Wehe and 
Riley each collected two hits to lead Parkway Panthers Varsity.
Memorial tallied 11 hits. Fisher, Bailey
and Trogdlon each racked up multiple hits for Memorial. With the loss, the panthers start the season 0-1.
